Group Programs supporting Attachment and Positive Parent/Child Relationships

parenting

Alongside individual Counselling with pregnant and parenting women, PCL also delivers free group programs focussed on increasing parent’s confidence, self-esteem, and positive interaction with their child. These programs are delivered in community settings and are co-facilitated by workers from partnering organisations such as Kingston East Neighbourhood Group inc.

These include:

Circle of Security
The Circle of Security is a relationship based early intervention program designed to enhance attachment security between parents and children. Decades of university-based research have confirmed that secure children exhibit increased empathy, greater self-esteem, better relationships with parents and peers, enhanced school readiness, and an increased capacity to handle emotions more effectively when compared with children who are not secure.

Koala Joeys Family Program
An interactive oral language program empowering parents and carers to use rhymes, songs, dance, movement, relaxation and stories as a tool to form secure attachment, learn about early literacy and numeracy, develop emotional and social skills and have fun.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO KNOW MORE ABOUT THESE PROGRAMS PLEASE PHONE 1800 777 690 TO REGISTER.
